Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba
Ladies and gentleman, with you here today: Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba (DMBK). This is the (surreal? sperpentic? brilliant?) name chosen by this recently-out-of-the-oven Sevillian sextet.
DMBK’s DNA is composed by two main genes: the first one being the “kinki” (eccentric) component, so typical of Andalusian rock bands, and the second one being the psychodelic component, which has already hit bands like King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard or Pond.
The combination of these two genes results in “kinkidelia”, which is the musical style portrayed in their homonymous album Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba (El Segell, 2019) and their double single Nana del Viejo Mundo, a tribute to Camarón.
